The White House

The office where I intern at is located across the street from the White House.  Two of my most exciting experiences in DC have been when I have visited the White House, which is more difficult now due to security after 9/11.  The first time I spent the morning on the South Lawn as President Bush introduced his Fitness Initiative.  I heard him speak and got to meet the First Lady, Laura Bush.  The second time I was able to take a tour of the White House with Mom, Dad, Laura, Lisa and Mary.  A friend who works in the White House arranged it and it was a cool experience.
